The nature of plated jewellery is that it is a 'plating' and whilst not indestructible, can be long lasting for years allowing the enjoyment of the jewellery for a fraction of the cost of real solid gold. Re-plating is a natural part of the plated jewellery life cycle but once applied can also be undertaken relatively inexpensively adding further years to the life of the product.
